Cairncastle pupils ‘happy’ at Odyssey

Twenty-eight pupils from Cairncastle Primary School were at Belfast Odyssey Arena for a “Peace Proms” massed choir event on Sunday.

The choir was accompanied by the Cross Border Orchestra of Ireland.

The orchestra was formed in 1995 as a peace initiative and is now comprised of 120 young people across Ireland.

Songs included “Let it Go” from the Disney movie “Frozen” and “Happy”, from the “Despicable Me 2” film soundtrack.

The performance followed a workshop in Belfast last month.

The pupils were encouraged to take part by teacher Rosie McKeegan who had attended the event previously.
