Chief Inspector Callaghan, who was the Area Commander for Londonderry, is taking up the new role in Ballymoney.

Chief Superintendent Garry Eaton said: “Following the successful outcome of several promotion processes a number of senior officers have taken up leadership positions within the organisation. Tony Callaghan, former Chief Inspector in Derry City and Strabane, has been temporarily promoted to the rank of Superintendent and oversees the Co-ordination and Tasking Centre based in Ballymoney.

“The Chief Inspector position in Derry City will be filled by Gordon McCalmont next week.”
