Calling Ballymoney and Moyle runners for the Belfast Marathon!

EASTER is on its way, the evenings are brighter and maybe you are thinking that it’s the perfect time of year to think about getting in shape for the summer holidays?

Well why not take part in this year’s Belfast City Marathon and run for a great cause. Get out in Belfast, get fit and raise money for Action Cancer.

Runners and walkers are both welcome – you don’t need to be super fit athletes to enter; all you need is the determination & desire to make a difference. As any one of the participants who have taken part and raised money for Action Cancer will agree, crossing the finish line in Ormeau Park is a superb feeling.

Lucy McCusker PR & Events Officer and Action Cancer said ‘This is a fabulous opportunity for both individual marathon runners and those who simply wish to take part as a relay team with friends or family to get out in the fresh air and get fit, whilst having some fun!’

Help Action Cancer to continue to save lives and support people in your own local communities by making a difference in 2013. All monies raised from the Belfast marathon will stay in Northern Ireland and go towards our Breast screening services, Big Bus mobile unit, Complementary and Counselling Services and Health Promotion Services.

To enter this challenge all you need to do is register at belfastcitymarathon.com then once completed email [email protected] to get your fundraising pack, which includes a FREE running vest or t-shirt. Then it’s simply get running and raise some funds for your leading local cancer charity, Action Cancer.

Each participant is fully supported by the Action Cancer events team and we will offer advice and help in relation to fundraising.
