Cambridge House Class of 1962 reunion

FIFTY years have passed since the class of 1962 left Cambridge House, so to celebrate the occsaion, 21 former pupils from that year came together to meet at the Leighinmohr House Hotel last Friday for lunch.

Some came from London, Dublin, Belfast, Omagh and Kilrea and letters of family news were read out from Ruth Adrain in Capetown, Valerie Nelson in Scotland, Helen McCarter in Meath, Shirley Laird in Australia and Phoebe Montgomery in London.

Many of the ‘ladies’ had not seen each other for a large part of this 50 years so the chat was mighty.

After lunch there was a quiz of questions about the school, the prizes were souvenir rulers of Cambridge House - perhaps not needed by these past pupils but many were destined for grandchildren.

All declared the occasion most enjoyable and many thanks were given to the Hotel for the excellent food and warm welcome.
