Cambridge House pupils reach final of 'Judge' Award

TWO pupils of Cambridge House Grammar School were among the 13 finalists in the running to win the coveted Catherine Judge Memorial Award, 2010.

Violinist Sabrina Roders and flautist Sara Lamont performed in the live final held at Queen’s University, Belfast.

Sabrina played John William’s Remembrances and Bach’s Giga from partita in D minor for unaccompanied violin while Sara played Hypnosis by Ian Clarke and Concerto in D Major, 2nd Movement by Mozart.

The Award, created in memory of Catherine Judge, an employee of Bank of Ireland who passed away in August 2005, aims to support a new generation of musical talent on the island of Ireland.
