Campaign ‘celebrates recovery from cancer’
Carrickfergus cancer survivor Jade Chambers, pictured above with husband, Paul, and daughter Lily (2) at the at the Ulster Transport Museum, is looking forward to spending time on a special bench dedicated to her as part of Cancer Research UK’s Stand Up To Cancer campaign.
The museum holds special significance for Jade as the place where she was married and where visits every year on her birthday.
In a twist on the usual dedications normally placed in memory of a loved one, the engraving on Jade’s bench reads: “Jade Chambers loved sitting here - and still does thanks to everyone who Stands Up To Cancer.”
