Can Can Recycling clothing appeal

CAN Can REcycling have been in the process, over the past couple of months, of refurbishing their clothing and can recycling banks.

During this process they are asking the public to bear with them as some of the banks may be taken away for up to a week.

The reason for the refurbishing of the banks is to make them look more appealing and encourage local residents to recycle their clothes and cans with Can Can.

Can Can not only recycle clothes and cans but also furniture, bric a brac, ink cartridges and mobile phones. They can provide a free collection service for large donations or anyone who is unable to make it to a local bank.

Kim Anderson from Can Can explained: “We are calling on our local community to think of their local charity when they come to have a clear out and recycle with us.

“We are one of the very few charities that guarantee 100% of generated income goes to support our project to keep it running. In this tough economic climate we are facing stiff competition from commercial companies and companies that are paying cash for clothes and this is having a major hit on the local charities like ourselves.”

Can Can Recycling provide training opportunities and work placements for adults with learning difficulties in the local area. They have many banks situated in the 4 local council areas; Ballymoney, Ballymena, Coleraine and Limavady.

If you are having a big clear out and would like to arrange collection with Can Can or for information on a Can Can Recycling bank near you please do not hesitate to call (028) 2766 7775.
