Can you give a dog a home?

BALLYMONEY Borough Council has called for the public's help in rehoming a number of dogs.

A spokesperson for the council told the Times: “The black dog is a Scottish Terrier which has a skin condition - an allergy type complaint. It would appear that it has had treatment for this condition in the past.

“We are desperately seeking her owner as we may not be able to rehome her as she appears to be extremely wary of strangers which will put people off rehoming her.

“If any of your readers has information regarding the owner I would appeal to them to contact 02827660257.

“The information will be treated in confidence.

“This little girl needs reunited with her owner as soon as possible.

“The collie is black and white, possibly 12 years old and has a large tumour protruding from her stomach which is benign.

“Her sight is extremely poor and it is rather sad that she is probably going to have to be put to sleep after having given someone her love for so long.

“I would appeal to her owner to come forward and allow this little dog to live out its end days where it was used to.

“After all we are supposed to be a nation of dog lovers. She is a lovely affectionate old girl.

“The little Jack Russell is a pretty cute guy but not really suited to a home with small children, he needs to be top dog as he likes the attention. He would suit experienced Jack Russell owners.”
