On Friday, Colin Bond of Bond’s Jewellers held a special event in his Church Street store as ‘thank you’ to the Centre, where his wife Jennifer recently received treatment.

“We decided to give a percentage of our takings from November 1 to Christmas Eve to the Centre at the City Hospital as a special thank you to them for the support and treatment that my wife Jennifer received whilst she was a patient there.

“Jennifer is now on the mend, but we just want to say a big thank you to the receptionists, nurses, radiographers and consultants of this very special Unit.

“Until you go through this yourself you have no idea of the work that goes on in this very specialised Centre, this donation is just our way of giving something back to them.”

Jennifer Bond went to say a special thank you to Doctor Robinson for all the support shown to her at different times of her treatment.
