Cancer centre opening Autumn
Health Minister Michelle O'Neill has reiterated her department's commitment to opening the new Altnagelvin cancer centre this autumn.
She said the new building will be officially handed over within weeks and following specialist staff training will be treating patients by the end of the year.
She stated: “Construction of the new Radiotherapy Centre and associated infrastructure is progressing on site with an anticipated handover of the building in late Summer 2016.
“This will then be followed by a period of client commissioning and specialist staff training with the commencement of service planned for Autumn 2016.”
