At this stage the committee are pleased to report that the sum of 2,459 has been raised.

Meanwhile, the next event in the CRUK calendar is the annual door step collection which commenced on Monday culminating in the annual parade of bands and vintage cars on Saturday 7 August.

The vintage cars will move off via Charlotte Street at approximately 8pm proceeding the parade of bands at 8.30pm which this year will be lead by Garryduff Flute Band.

As in previous years a large attendance is anticipated so spectators are advised to come early to obtain the best vantage point and secure parking facilities.

A street collection will take place in the town from 10am with all proceeds in aid of Cancer Research.
