Canine crime fighter: Rex helps to catch burglary suspects
The PSNI has hailed the work of police dog Rex in helping to catch two burglary suspects in Newtownabbey.
Rex and his handler were responding to a call about suspicious activity in Cherrylands, just off the Doagh Road, in the early hours of August 4.
“When they arrived they received information that two males had been seen in the local area. PD Rex got to work and located two males,” a post on the PSNI Newtownabbey Facebook page said.
The two males, aged 16 and 18, were arrested and have since been charged with burglary and other offences.
