A Loy Street property was raided by PSNI officers on Tuesday, July 14, after a 31-year-old man was arrested in Coleraine.

It is thought the “quantity of powders and tablets” could be cocaine and ecstasy - but this is yet to be confirmed through lab tests.

The PSNI’s Inspector McDonnell said: “We searched a house in the Mountsandel Road and found one cannabis plant.

“This find led us to an address in Cookstown where we searched a property and found four small cannabis plants, growing equipment as well as a quantity of powders and tablets.

“The drugs find led to the arrest of the man on suspicion of class A and B drugs with intent to supply.

“The drugs recovered in both towns show our tenacity and commitment to keeping people safe by reducing the harm caused by drugs in society

The man has since been released on police bail.
