Canon Moore bids farewell to Shankill

On Sunday night Shankill Parish Church said farewell to Canon John Moore who has retired after serving for more than 10 years on the pastoral team.

John had been the most faithful servant to Shankill for over a decade and has blessed so many people through his warmth, gracious nature and love for life – Shankill Parish will miss him deeply.

He served as Rector of Waringstown Parish for many years before helping in Shankill.

At a service a presentation was made to John as a measure of thanks. Family, friends and parishioners gathered to honour John and thank God for his ministry.

In retirement John hopes to invest more time in his grandchildren and his wife Elizabeth.
