Car crashed into a Gobnascale wall 50 yards from where it had been parked

A CAR crashed into a wall in Gobnascale 50 yards from where it had been parked by its owner last Tuesday evening (September 20).

The owner of the green Seat Toledo parked in Bard’s Hill found his vehicle 50 yards from where he parked it, crashed into a wall.

It is not clear how the car was moved. Officers are keen to speak with anyone who was in the area around 6.30pm on September 20.

Elsewhere, lead was stolen from the roof of a house in Marianus Park sometime during the night of September 15. A similar incident was reported in the Drumard Park area. Residents are asked to be vigilant.

At approximately 12.45am on September 19 a man was assaulted close to student accommodation on Strand Road by a male wearing an orange top with HOLISTER written on the front.

The culprit made off in the direction of Meadowbank Avenue. The victim was not seriously injured. Meanwhile at around 1am two men were assaulted in Meadowbank Avenue.

The culprit was a male with short black hair and was wearing an orange t-shirt. No serious injuries reported however one victim is without his mobile phone. The offender got into a white car and left in the direction of the Duncreggan Road.
