Car is attacked

Stones or similar were thrown at a silver Mercedes travelling past a shop on the Rossdowney Road around 11.50pm on May 5 causing damage to the rear windscreen and a wing mirror.

Incidents like this can distract the driver, potentially putting his or her life and the lives of other road users at risk.

In a separate incident earlier that day a car was stolen and torched - also in the Waterside.

The red Vauxhall Corsa was stolen from the Blackthorn Manor area and found burnt out a short distance away around 12.30am on May 5.
