Car parking scheme by ‘13

The Minister says new legislation to give residents of the Bogside priority parking will be in place by next year, Londonderry UK City of Culture 2013.

He stated: “Roads Service has advised that Residents’ Parking Schemes are currently being progressed in the Lower Malone and Stranmillis areas of Belfast and also in Londonderry and Antrim.

“Roads Service will continue to progress these schemes, together with the subordinate legislation required, as quickly as possible, with schemes likely to be delivered mid-late 2013. Further schemes will be considered when additional funding becomes available.”
