Car thefts and burglaries in Lisburn and Lower Ballinderry

Police in Lisburn are investigating a series of car thefts and creeper burglaries in the Crumlin and Lower Ballinderry areas.

In the early hours of Monday morning, a silver Peugeot 107 was stolen from the Crumlin area and later found in The Old Stables area of Lower Ballinderry.

Elsewhere, the keys to a grey Ford Mondeo were stolen in a creeper burglary in Lower Ballinderry just before 1am.

It was later located and recovered by police for forensic investigations.

At around 3am, it was reported that a man attempted to steal a stereo from a car in the Ashcroft Way area of Lower Ballinderry.

After being disturbed by the car’s owner, the man fled the scene.

Around half-an-hour later, a black Alfa Romeo was stolen after another creeper burglary in the Brooke Lodge area, close to where the Mondeo was found.

The Alfa Romeo has yet to be recovered.
