The St Michael's student continued: "My dad has always been great with helping me and I love to get out on the course and play a few holes.

"I would love to go on and play professional."

Cara follows in a family tradition, her father, Damian and grandfather Terry were past captains at the club.

"This is a tremendous honour for Cara," said her father, "I feel so proud she is following in family footsteps."
