Cargan and Martinstowncommunity effort

Cargan and Martinstown may have looked a little tidier of late - that’s because a Big Summer Clean-Up on August 11 collected over 45 black bags of rubbish. The clean-up operation was attended by staff from Ballymena Borough Council’s Environmental Services and Operational Services Department, members of Glenravel District Community and Residents Association and local residents. Amongst the more unusual items removed from the scenic villages included canoe booties and a home satellite dish!

Clean-Up events are planned throughout the year and any organisation that wishes to participate in cleaning up their area can contact Environmental Health on 028 2566 0373 for further guidance.
