Those who attended were treated to a tractor and trailer ride from Ballymoney Rugby Club to and from the farm.

Part of the tour visited the accommodation for the 280 dairy cows on the farm with information on cow diet, welfare and comfort. This was followed by a visit to the young stock accommodation with information provided on how they are tagged at birth and the role of tags in keeping information such as date born, name of sire and the farm herd number. The final part of the tour was a display of the machinery and its role on a modern farm.

Following the tours, visitors were treated to some farm hospitality including tea, coffee, cheese, home-made scones and tray bakes.

The local ice-cream man was also on hand to help visitors cool off in the glorious sunshine, before catching the next tractor and trailer trip back to the car park.

The Skelton family would like to thank all those who supported the event and for making a donation to Cancer Research which amounted to the magnificent sum of £600.
