Carnlough arson attack

Detectives in Larne are appealing for information following an arson attack on a house in the Galdanagh Road area of Carnlough on the night of Friday September 12.

Shortly after 11.30pm it was reported that a house in the area was on fire. A tyre had been placed beside an oil tank in the garden and set alight. Police and the Fire Service attended the scene and the fire was extinguished.

The fire caused damage to an oil tank and to the rear of the property. No-one was in the house at the time of the incident.

Detective Constable Michael Sweeney said: “I would appeal to anyone with any information about this incident to contact CID in Larne Police Station on the non emergency number 101.
