The Prince of Wales went online to meet young people involved in social action across the UK to mark the first anniversary of his #iwill campaign.

He is the patron of the #iwill campaign, which aims to make social action the norm for all UK 10-20 year olds by 2020.

Hosted by Alex Jones from the BBC’s The One Show at Clarence House, the 30-minute Google+ Hangout allowed The Prince of Wales to talk publicly with the young people about their experiences of social action, with a focus on how they are using technology to help others.

Jordan was picked to take part following the success of his own campaign which he launched, with the support of the charity Fixers to raise awareness of anorexia amongst teenagers.

Fixers is a UK-wide charity which helps 16 to 25-year-olds launch a campaign on any subject that matters to them, however they choose, as long as it benefits at least one other person.

Speaking before Thursday’s Hangout session, Jordan commented: “I feel really privileged and honoured to be taking part in this event, and couldn’t believe it when I was told that I had been picked.

“Then when I found out that Prince Charles was involved and that I will be talking directly to him, I was just so shocked.

“I never would have imagined that I would be in that position and I’m sure it’s something that I will remember for the rest of my life.

“It’s such an exciting opportunity.”

Google+ Hangouts broadcast live in HD on Google+, YouTube and websites.
