Carnmoney WI members express sadness at death of former president

President Helen Kerr welcomed everyone along to the November meeting of Carnmoney Women’s Institute at Glengormley Pavilion.

Institute members expressed their condolences on the death of their friend, Margaret Trimble.

Margaret held the posts of president and treasurer over the years, and always enjoyed representing Carnmoney Women’s Institute in the Area Quiz.

The speakers for the evening were Rev Dr David and Mrs Irwin, who talked about their travels to Peru, particularly Machu Picchu, the ancient Inca city.

Carnmoney WI’s December meeting will be a Christmas supper provided by the members of the Institute.
