BILL McAtamney was the winner of Carrickfergus Golf Club's Saturday competition on September 11, scoring 33 points.

Low handicap winners were Warren Wright (32), David Wright (30) and Craig Addley (29), with Ray McMullan, JP Thompson and Gilbert Thompson (both 31) the best middle handicap players and D Park, John McLaughlin (both 30) and E Arbuthnot the top scoring high handicappers.

A score of 28 points off scratch secured the gross prize for Stephen McLaughlin, while Rab Wilkinson took the super seniors prize with 27 points.

The winner of the midweek 5 day competition was Lindsay Davidson, with 32 points.

A ladies’ nine hole competition was won by Vicky Green, with 19 points, followed by Jan Robinson and Helen Pedlow (both 18).
