All Cruse services are delivered at no cost to the individuals who seek help and support. Fundraising events such as ‘Strictly’ provide much-needed funding to continue these services.

A Cruse employee, Eleanor manages the Beyond Words Project - a partnership between Cruse and Stroke Association which supports people aged 60-plus who have been bereaved.

“When ‘Strictly’ was mentioned, I immediately volunteered to take part as I wanted learn how to dance, but more importantly to raise funds for a charity which is very close to my heart,” Eleanor said.

“I have been paired up with Frankie McBride, who is a Cruse volunteer, and we are hoping to raise a lot of money to help support the work that [the charity] does within Northern Ireland.”
