Cars stoned at Love Lane

A similar incident was reported at Prince Andrew Way recently.

A spate of stone throwing incidents has taken place in the town during the past few weeks, particularly at Clipperstown, where missiles were hurled at passing cars and onto the railway.

Last weekend (March 18), rocks were removed from the wall around the halt and thrown down steps onto the platform.

Commenting on the incident, Sergeant Emma Spence said: “If one of the stones had fallen onto the track, there is a possibility it could have derailed a train.”
