Cars torched in Ballymena belonged to Eastern Europeans

It is understood that two vehicles set alight in Ballymena in the early hours of this morning belonged to foreign nationals.

Police are investigating after the two vehicles were targeted in arson attacks.

One car was set alight in Dunclug Gardens at around 3.30am. The other in Dunclug Park shortly before 5am.

Police are treating these incidents as hate crimes and officers would like to speak to witnesses or anyone with information. The number to call is 101.

It is understood the vehicles belong to two Eastern European males living locally.
