Cars vandalised

CARS have been vandalised in two separate incidents in Londonderry.

Police in Foyle are appealing for witnesses after three windows belonging to a black Renault Clio parked at the bottom of Nailor’s Row were smashed last week.

An attempt was also made to set the car on fire. Anyone who was in the area between 9am and noon on April 27 and could help police with their enquiries is asked to contact Strand Road on 0845 600 8000. Alternatively information can be passed on anonymously through the “Crimestoppers” charity on freephone 0800 555 111.

Elsewhere, police are appealing for assistance in identifying a youth who kicked the door of a car travelling along the Ardmore Road around 1am on Saturday (May 1.

The culprit is described as being tall with dark hair and was wearing a green camouflage jacket and blue jeans. Police are also asking witnesses to contact Strand Road or “Crimestoppers” on the numbers above.
