Case against Ballycastle man adjourned

SUMMONSES against a Ballycastle man were adjourned until August 25 at North Antrim Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Martin Patrick Neill, aged 28, of 34 Caman Drive, Ballycastle, was said to have been detected driving in excess of the speed limit at Drones Road on October 26, 2009.

A fixed penalty ticket was issued and defendant was than asked to produce his driving documents. He did produce insurance, but police had some concerns about the document and cast some doubt on its validity.

The court heard that police had made numerous attempts to resolve the issue, but were unsuccessful.

After hearing the evidence, District Judge, Mr. Richard Wilson adjourned the case until August 25. A summons for not having a driving licnece was withdrawn.
