Cash, drugs and fishing spear seized

Lisburn and Castlereagh City District PSNI officers seized cash, suspected drugs and a prohibited weapon during a proactive house search in Carryduff.

The search carried out by the District Support Team was carried out at a premises that had fortified doorways.

Inspector Mark Robinson said: “Sterling and Euros estimated to be around £13,000 was seized as was a quantity of suspected drugs but what was most alarming was a fishing spear that if used against anyone would most certainly kill them or leave them with life-changing injuries. This was seized due to a fear for public safety.
