Cash for community groups

Lisburn Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP) is pleased to announce the launch of a Small Grants Programme, which is open to groups, Neighbourhood Watch Schemes and Community Police Liaison Committees operating within the Lisburn City Council area from Monday, May 12.

This is the second year that the Lisburn PCSP has arranged such a funding opportunity. Grants from £500 to £2000 will be awarded to successful groups for projects that operate up until the end of February 2015.

Applications can be made under one of the following themes: Safer Communities with lower levels of crime, fear of crime and anti-social behaviour

Lisburn PCSP Chairman, Councillor Brian Bloomfield said, “The PCSP wants to reach out to all communities to make their communities safer and to improve confidence in policing. However the Partnership is particularly keen to receive applications from groups who have traditionally not engaged in this area of funding.”

Application forms available at www.lisburncity.gov.uk/pcsp or from Lisburn PCSP on 92-50279/284. Deadline is noon on Monday, June 9.
