In the past couple of weeks the centre has taken in a total of 22 adult cats from two homes after their owners died.

According to Centre volunteer, Joanne Mullan: "We have alot of adult cats that we would really need help with in rehoming. We got 19 from a house in Claudy after the owner died and are getting another five from another house in Rosemount due to a similar situation.

"The adult cats are overlooked in the Centre and they are the ones most in need of homes as they find the Centre environment very stressful," she said.

If anyone can provide one of the cats they can contact the Centre on 028 7181 2882. The openig hours are: Monday, 7.30pm to 8.30pm and Tuesday to Sunday from 11am to 12.30pm and again at 7.30pm to 8.30pm.
