The court heard that at 3.40am a police mobile patrol in Queen Street, Lurgan, saw a car turn into Flush Place on the wrong side of the road.

They stopped it and an insurance check revealed that the defendant, who was driving, was not insured to drive the vehicle.

A solicitor representing Paulauskas said that a friend of his had been drinking and he took the opportunity to drive him home.

He added that his client did want to obtain a licence in the proper fashion.
