Caught without insurance
Eight penalty points were imposed on a 28-year-old man last Wednesday at Craigavon Magistrates Court for driving without insurance on January 1 this year.
Gareth Courtney, High Street, Gilford, was also fined £350 and ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.
A solicitor representing the defendant said he was going for a takeaway and thought he was covered by his girlfriend’s insurance. Courtney now has insurance for his vehicle.
