Causeway Coast Ford Fair welcomes Hugo

BBC Radio Ulster presenter Hugo Duncan will be Master of Ceremonies for the 2012 event on Sunday 10th June.

Hugo Duncan, fondly known as Northern Ireland’s Uncle Hugo, is a well known character and the wee man from Strabane hosts one of the most listened to radio shows in the province.

Not only has Hugo Duncan been entertaining the masses on the radio since 1987, he is also one of Ireland’s popular Country and Irish music artists.

The Ford Fair committee is very much looking forward to Hugo Duncan entertaining the crowds at the Dunluce Centre Portrush in his own inimitable style with lots of music, interviews and much more.

Come along and enjoy the Hugo Duncan Roadshow while you stroll around the hundreds of static Ford vehicles on display.

Uncle Hugo will also be joined by Box Car Brian and his band providing catchy Country tunes guaranteed to get a few toes tapping.

There’ll be plenty to keep your little Ford fans entertained including bouncy castles, face painting, Playstation pods and a Champions League Football game for all to enjoy. T

The Mini Moto Racing Club N.I will also be taking to the track and showing the crowds their skills on two wheels!

The all-new Ford Focus EcoBoost and Ford Ranger will be on display at the Lindsay Ford Stand and there will be a full Road Safety display shown by the local P.S.N.I.

A very exciting addition to the 2012 show is the “Photo of the Show” photo competition with Ford prizes up for grabs. The competition is open to everyone and is simple to enter. Take your photos at the show and upload them to the Ford Fair Facebook page www.facebook.com/causewayfordfair.

Entry will stay open for the month of June and the “Photo of the Show” will be announced on Thursday 10th July.

Causeway Coast Ford Fair has been a marvellous success story since its origin in June 2005.

Each year the number of exhibitors has increased substantially to the point where last year’s event hosted 400+ static vehicles with around 11,000 turning up to admire the display.

Roy Dixon, Lindsay Cars Sales Manager Coleraine commented, “As Manager of Lindsay Ford Coleraine, I am excited and delighted to welcome you all to Ford Fair this year.

“The Lindsay Ford stand will have an extensive range of Ford products on display, including the new industry first 1.0 litre EcoBoost engine, which delivers performance to rival 1.6 Litre engine, yet offers class leading fuel economy and ultra low Co2 emissions.

“Also on show will be the New Ranger 4x4 Pickup, designed and built by Ford to ‘Take on the toughest Terrains’.”
