Causeway Meadows family fun day

A family fun day organised by local PSNI and Clanmil, who own and manage 23 homes within the Causeway Meadows development, has helped raise awareness among residents of important community safety issues.

Along with the serious message, there was also an opportunity for neighbours to get to know each other better over a cuppa and to enjoy fun and games including an outdoor assault course, supplied by the Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association, and a bouncy castle.

Philip Whyte, Clanmil’s Community Development Officer said: “It’s great to see so many families come together to learn more about these important issues and to get to know their neighbours better.

“We hope that as well as having a great time, everyone takes home some useful advice that will help them make their community a safer place to live.

“We felt it was important that the event appealed to the whole family, with practical information for the adults and fun games and activities for the children. That way, everyone can get involved.

“We’d like to thank Constables Curran, White and McKevitt from the Lisburn Neighbourhood Police Team who have helped make the day so successful.”
