Causeway's number one volunteer centre

The Department for Social Development (DSD)recently funded Causeway Volunteer Centre under the NI Government’s Volunteer Bureau Initiative to:

• Promote volunteering;

• Recruit, support, train and develop volunteers;

• Initiate, develop and support volunteering opportunities;

• Provide training and support to volunteer involving organisations;

• Encourage good practice

The Coleraine, Ballymoney and Moyle areas can all benefit from these services plus a Small Grants scheme which will be advertised soon.

Causeway Volunteer Centre also will carry out ACCESS NI checks for volunteers and provide assistance open to all community and voluntary organisations in the Causeway area.

The centre is managed by a good team of experts working in various volunteering capacities which helps hone services to assist the volunteer and the volunteer host organisations.
