CCTV keeps watch in Hillsborough

Just before midnight on Sunday November 1, CCTV Operators in Lisburn observed two males lift two bundles of newspapers from a newsagents in Hillsborough Village.

The two males were then observed running down the street leaving a trail of newspapers in their wake.

Thanks to the quick response of Lisburn E Section Officers both males were stopped in their tracks.

As the items were recovered both males received a Fixed Penalty Ticket for Theft.

On Friday October 30 CCTV operators observed a group of youths in Main Street in Hillsborough. One of the youths was observed removing a number of firework rockets from his rucksack and hide them behind the war memorial.

Police were tasked and a number of rockets were recovered and the male was then stopped by police and handed over to his mother and will be referred to the PSNI Youth Diversion Officer.
