CCTV search for missing Karen

POLICE in Ballycastle are currently re-examining CCTV footage in the town to see if it throws up any information regarding the movements of missing Karen Coyles.

And police returned to the area of the town close to the GAA Club one week on from the disappearance of the 47-year-old in the hope that somebody who perhaps travels in the area at the same time each week could perhaps have some information.

Police were back in the area around 9pm on Sunday night. The previous Sunday night was the last time she may have been in the area. Her parked car was found at GAA club on the morning of Monday September 12.

Inspector Bryan Hume of Ballycastle PSNI told the Times shortly before going to press: “Most of the land and sea searches have been exhausted and we are now going back through CCTV to see if we can pick up on anything.”

As part of the major search members of the public joined with search teams on land and divers have been in the water near cliffs at Ballycastle where a sniffer dog appeared to have identified a trail.
