CCTV to be installed in Moira Demesne

New CCTV cameras are to be installed in Moira Demesne as part of the ongoing regeneration work.

A spokesperson for Lisburn City Council confirmed: “At last month’s Full Council meeting is was agreed that delegated authority be given to the Planning Committee to approve the contract for the installation of new CCTV cameras at Moira Demesne as part of the regeneration works.”

Local councillor Alexander Redpath welcomed the installation of the new cameras at the park.

“I am glad to see the installation of CCTV in Moira Demesne,” said Mr Redpath.

“Hopefully this will make the Demesne a safer more welcoming place and discourage any sort of undesirable behaviour.

“The whole village is looking forward to the works being completed as soon as possible so they can start enjoying the benefits of the new investment.”
