Celebrate all things Irish at the Giant's Causeway this St Patrick's Day weekend

Conservation charity the National Trust is delighted to invite everyone to experience first-hand the myths and legends of the Giant's Causeway as it celebrates all things Irish at its St Patrick's Day Festival which is running from Friday, March 17 to Sunday 19.

The festivities will be taking place each day from 11am – 4pm and will be kicking off with the ‘Wakey Wakey Finn Children’s Trail’, which invites little leprechauns to follow the trail of clues to the stones where they will be rewarded with gold. Young budding artists can also get involved in the colouring competition which is taking place in the café, to win an exclusive Giant’s Causeway goodie bag, and there will be lots of fun family activities such as face-painting and balloon modelling.

Guests at the Visitor Centre will also be treated to a selection of traditional Irish performances - on Friday Lir School of Irish Dance Music will be performing Irish dancing; on Saturday guests will be treated to traditional Irish Dancing from Dominic Graham School of Irish Dance Music; and on Sunday, Harpist Katy Graham will be playing in café and down at the stones, weather permitting.

On St Patrick’s Day the Causeway Hotel will be offering themed menus and drinks, including green Guinness and there will be live music in the bar from 8pm – 11pm.
