Celebrating childminding week
CHILDMINDERS and children from Lurgan, Craigavon and Portadown recently celebrated NICMA Week.
They were joined by Geralyn Maguire, Childminding Network Co-ordinator, Splash Sure Start and Katie Turkington, Childminding Network Co-ordinator, Blossom Sure Start.
Childminding is the most popular form of daycare for working parents in Northern Ireland and makes a vital contribution to local community and lives of children and families.

Hide AdGeralyn and Katie have been employed by NICMA (the Northern Ireland Childminding Association) to promote and develop Childminding in the Splash and Blossom Sure Start areas. They also organise courses for parents of pre-school aged children in the Sure Start areas to enable them to return to work.
