That was Fort Hill College principal Mrs Marion Getty’s message to students, on behalf of staff, at the school’s recent Prize Distribution ceremony.

“Aim high and have a wonderful future,” she told them.

Mrs Getty said the education system knocked the confidence of many young people when they transferred from primary to post primary. “I hope,” she told students, “that if that was the case for anyone with us this evening that Fort Hill College has given you back that well deserved confidence.”
