Celebrity chef Neven Maguire to cook up a storm in Cookstown

One of Ireland’s leading celebrity chef Neven Maguire will join forces with McAtamney’s butchers on Wednesday 17th September at the Greenvale Hotel, Cookstown for a cooking demonstration, as part of a fundraiser for Ballinderry Shamrocks GAC Club Development.

Neven trained in several Michelin Star winning restaurants including Roscoff, Belfast and the Grand Hotel Berlin. In addition he has cooked for Lady Diana and Tony Blair in the Lea Linster, Luxembourg.

In 2001, however Neven brought all his learning back to the family business of the MacNean Restaurant and turned it into a national phenomenon. Located in the rural village of Blacklion in Co. Cavan, the MacNean House and Restaurant has become one of the most talked about and frequented restaurants in the country.

Neven’s success is based on his philosophy of using only the finest local seasonal ingredients and the desire to “Make Every Meal a Masterpiece”. By teaming up with Mc Atamneys Neven will be using the best local produce from our own multi award winning butcher’s.

The evening will begin with a drinks reception generously hosted by Cabroso Wine Ltd. Doors will open at 7:00pm with Neven on stage at 8:00pm.
