Celebrity stylist visits SRC

GIFTED celebrity hair stylist Lee Stafford visited the Southern Regional College's Lurgan campus recently.

Lee delivered an intense training session to 27 of the college’s hairdressing lecturing staff focussing on emerging and latest cutting styles, using techniques such as blunt cutting, graduating, freehand and texturising.

Essex born Lee has many credits to his name including hosting as salon manager in hit TV show ‘Celebrity Scissor Hands Salon’; being awarded National Hairdressing Federation’s Celebrity Hairdresser of the Year; Hair Magazine’s Hairdresser of the Year 2006; and Men’s British Hairdresser of the Year 1998.

The aim of the session was to upskill the hairdressing lecturing staff enabling them to pass on these skills to hairdressing students in the College.

Nichola Gibson, Deputy Head of School for Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy said:

“Lee has an obvious passion for hair styling which he very much demonstrated on the day. He is a very down to earth guy despite his celebrity status and definitely inspired both myself and my colleagues. The staff are full of renewed enthusiasm and are keen to show their students their advanced and improved cutting skills.”
