Central pupils put best foot forward for Action MS

ACTION MS Chief Executive Ann Walker has thanked the pupils of Lisburn Central Primary School for their support following the school’s highly successful Walk for MS.

So far the pupils have raised a total of £3428.14 for Action MS at a Walk for MS in Moira Demesne in March. The Principal, Mr IanStewart welcomed Mrs Walker, and said: “Our original target was £1500 so to achieve this amount given the current economic climate is fantastic. We are all very proud of our pupils and their parents for the support they have shown for this very worthy cause.”

Mrs Walker thanked the pupils, teachers and parents. “I would like to say a big thank you to all those who gave so generously, the pupils have really demonstrated their support for Action MS. Lisburn Central Primary School has shown great support for the Walks for MS and they had a lovely morning’s walk.”

She added: “Northern Ireland has the second highest rate of multiple sclerosis in the world. Action MS supports medical research and I hope that one day a cure can be found. In the meantime Action MS is working to raise awareness of this chronic disease and provide support when it is needed.”
