Central pupils thanked for fundraising efforts

PUPILS from Lisburn Central have once again come up trumps by raising a tremendous total of £1971.63 for Lepra, a charity which helps people suffering from leprosy in India.

The pupils raised the money by doing a sponsored Fun Workout routine back in January. Lepra will use the money to provide treatment for 93 children suffering from the disease.

Ian Stewart, Acting Principal of Lisburn Central, is very proud of the total raised. “Every year I continue to be amazed by the amounts collected in our charity appeals. The children feel a great deal of satisfaction at knowing that they have made a difference in another child’s life in another part of the world,” he commented.
