The Chamber representatives had the opportunity to speak to the Prime Minister on the proposed relocation of DVA services to Swansea in Wales and the implications this would have on Coleraine.

They also highlighted the imbalance in commercial rates and how many businesses hoped that the current rates revaluation would rebalance town centre business rates with out of town shopping.

The importance of corporation tax being introduced in Northern Ireland was also debated during the brief meeting.

Causeway Chamber believes that the economy would benefit from a lower corporation tax rate and would encourage foreign direct investment in Northern Ireland.
