On behalf of the Chamber, Rodney Kernohan highlighted The Ballymena Times for its co-operation with supporting the lead-up to the first ‘Small Business Saturday’ which, he said, Chamber hoped would gradually become a focal point in everyone’s shopping calendar.

The next event to champion is Ballymena Town Centre Development Ltd’s (BTCD) Christmas Food & Crafts Market this weekend.

Rodney said: “Our work is far from done, in-fact if we are to reverse the decline in High Street footfall, we haven’t even scratched the surface. Ballymena Chamber of Commerce in close partnership with ‘Ballymena Town Centre Development Ltd’ hope to work closer next year on new campaigns and promotions at encouraging residents and visitors into Ballymena and its local villages.”
